CD-Art for a promotional DJ-Sampler
“Awesome Collective” hosts parties for adolescents(15-21) at my home town. After arranging three successful events they decided to produce a CD featuring mixtapes recorded by their DJs. My job was to create the CD-art for this project.
They didn't have much time left left so I combined some old elements I've done for the Collective in the past 6 months with new ones. I wanted the cover to be bright and look like old sci-fi movies.
The smiley is a homage to the awesome face you probably know from 4chan. I was also inspired by a statue of Karl Marx which led to the floating head.
