This magazine layout had to be based on a grid system from an existing magazine. The layout I chose was a simple three-column grid with elements that broke out of the grid into the outside margins as well as units that spanned more than one column. Since the piece revolved around Steve Jobs, I incorporated Apple’s simple design in typeface choice as well as color scheme.
