2015 Spring Painting

The first four works shown here are maquettes that informed my direction throughout the quarter. Though diminutive in size, I feel that these four can stand on their own as finished works as well.
Maquette I, Wax, Chalk, Charcoal on Paper, 6" x 6", 2015
Maquette II, Wax, Chalk, Charcoal, Acrylic on Paper, 6" x 6", 2015.
Maquette III, Layered Laser Prints, 8" x 8", 2015.
Maquette IV, Acrylic on Paper, 4" x 13", 2015.
The following works on panels demonstrate my continued investigation into the appropriation of figures and their recontextualizations.

The following 5 panels, approximately 4' x 8' each, have been combined and reworked to create the image shown at the end.  I am including individual views of each panel so that my process of constructing the final might be better understood.
