ATHLETIC IDENTITY PROJECT

Northeast Academy is a KIPP DC middle school located in Washington, DC.
It is one of 162 public schools from the KIPP school network.
Royals is a nickname of their athletic teams with a crowned lion as the mascot.
I proudly present to you the ROYALS' visual identity developed for their athletic department.

Following images contain initial logos presented to the school board.
Main logo
Monogram in the shield was ultimately rejected.
Full logo design with the golden feather ornaments.
The school committee then decided to go with the KIPP original font and also to get rid of the golden color.
So, here are the final designs the school decided to use.
