Children's Book Cover.
Brief
Design a book cover and story based around three random words: girl, underwater, scarf.
Solution
Firstly, I focussed on the story: a girl who lives underwater and has lost her scarf. The book documents her journey around the seabed trying to find it, but coming across other similar looking objects.
I created various characters using different media and showed them to focus groups of school children. I let them chose the character, to ensure it was as suitable for the target audience as it could be.
I used vibrant, complimentary colours and alliteration in the title, paired with a childlike typeface for a visually fun and appealing cover.
