The Brief _ The brief was to create a poster, for the 29th edition of the IJusi Magazine, that captured the essence of Madiba.
The Concept _ Mandela was known as 'The Black Pimpernel' - which refers to his days where he hid from the police and the government. I used thread to sow him a mask, so as to give the idea of the mask that he had to wear in order to escape and fight for freedom. This poster also features in the 29th edition of the IJusi Magazine.
