My concept for this collection was taken from the 1920's meets the minimalist modern girl.
Specifically, what if Daisy from the Great Gatsby was a modern girl mourning the loss of beauty while seeking innocence? What would this look like, and who is this classic but enigmatic beauty?
To capture an essence of the past I chose to use art deco tone-on-tone prints with sleek silhouettes and simple lines.The focus is, after all, on the woman herself, the clothing is merely an ornamentation for the story she is telling.
Soft colors, muted pinks, greens, and blues coupled with jet black walk the line between the otherworldly and being grounded in reality. Truth and fiction blur together to create a dreamer who is adamantly herself.
