As You Like It: Illustration
As you like is a Shakespearean Romantic Comedy that contradicts the conventions
of literature and poetry. Life portray love as painful but this Comedy instead celebrates
love as something that creates joy and happiness. Love blooms in the forest of Ardene
where the nobles from the city find peace, serenity and love. My illustration is a modern
interpretation of the play.
The 3D bouquet and other paper components were made using craft paper, photographed and
edited together in photoshop to get the desired look and feel.
I used a technique called Quilling to roll and twist the paper into the title of the play.
This shows the various paper craft techniques such as curling, cutting and folding that were
used to create different aspects of my illustration.
