July 2014. One of our first commissioned projects was this simple legged coffee table for our friend Khalid. We was doing a little do-over in his living room and needed a simple boxed surface table. We made it very easily and only in a couple of weeks, using pinewood and matte coating.
The main challenge was to keep the balance between the two legs and make the upper box stronger enough to carry the desired weight.
It has been really nice to see this table's environment change from time to time: the color of the walls, the room's other furniture been placed in different positions, the pictures hanging on the wall and the decoration over-all. Each time the room changes, the table seems to fit nicely and have a different sense of design. We hope to upload pictures from time to time of this ever changing living room from one of Lantano 57's best friends with great sense of room design.
