For 3 years, I have been working as a designer at Pelcor, a portuguese brand that specializes in fashion accessories made from cork skin.
Pelcor accessories are sustainable, enhancing the renewal of the ecosystem originator of cork - the cork oak forests - and combining this unique material to a local production, portuguese manufacture and choosing eco-friendly materials.
Here I've been responsible for: concept and development of seasonal collections and special projects of accessories made from cork skin - handbags, wallets, belts, stationary; trends research and analysis; visit to Trade Fairs to research new products, materials and suppliers; selection of colors, fabrics and prints; planning, structure, design and development of collections; overseeing of development and production samples; interaction between teams, with suppliers and factories.
