I dream my painting, and then I paint my dream.
--Vincent Van Gogh--

The work portrays unusual experiences in an urban landscape. These works invite the viewers to think of the emotions behind the work. Influenced by Bristol’s quirky and unique culture, the work are increasingly abstract.
The relevance of Van Gogh’s quote relates to my personal style of working. What the scene looks like in reality, will look nothing like how I perceive it. The finished product will have elements added or removed from the base photograph. The trees will merge with the sky and random clouds will appear. Based on your emotion, you will notice certain things and ignore others which is the central message.
