Redesign of a crime novel into a visual book: Too many cooks by Rex Stout
A publishing project according to some requirements:
Emphasize the theme of the kitchen.
Having the characteristics of a visual book.
Be reproducible in series.
Personally I have reinterpreted the novel according to my criteria:
We read the novel trough the detective 's eyes and thoughts.
Everything is kitchen mean as a combination of ingredients that give birth to a single pot.
The objects of a crime scene populate the story.
The objects become synecdoche of the characters.
The objects are clues and i color them with spots for expressing at best the concept of evidence.
The objects are also ingredients that, mixed together, become a unique recipe of evidences... the suspect!
