Those products are by-products of my design.  All the images are my explorations that better understand the relationship of type with places and images to create meaning inspired from a persona--Mei Lanfang who is a famous Peking Opera actor in China. He is a man, and he played a female characters on stage. These experiments allow me to develop the idea of dual identity and observe the movement and form of types, while developing different experimental ways to present typography. I collected my inspirations from daily life that are consistent with my concepts of persona, such as human body, the difference between female’s and male’s objects, even their hair. I used these methodologies to meet with type experiments.
