Form, Space and Order

This is the final project from my first studio class at SCAD.
Project Goal : Choose a personal object and design a Pavillion environment to showcase your object.
Site : SCAD Museum of Art Courtyard
Site Analysis - SCAD Museum of Art Courtyard
Collaborative Group Porject
This project was focused at designing a Pavillion to disply a special personal object. My object of inspiration was an Indian anklet (payal) and my Pavillion- Ajanta displays the rich culture of traditional dance in India since, being a former professional dancer in India, I strongly associate it with my object along with the rich cultural background I come from.
Final Model
Carved by hand.
Materials - Foam, Plaster of Paris, wood for interior walls, spray paint
The user experience is designed to bring the culture of the 16th Century Royal Indian Courts in a lounge setting. The user can dance along the way to the lounge by matching their bodies with the poses on the walls and get a chance to see themselves perform in a motion-graphic on a screen at the lounge.
