Moveria is Europe's largest relocation portal. It is a web-based service that helps people with the administrative part of moving. They offer customers to create an individual checklist for their moving period, as well as general checklists with valuable information about moving.

This was their old design. As you can see, I did not have much to start with.

I reviewed the website in detail and understood the client need for redesigning current elements as well as introducing new elements and flow for the portal as it was growing.

We went through several discussions and ideas as to what might work and then decided to test out a few of them.

The client hired me to fix certain design issues on their website and improve it visually.  I slightly improved certain typographical and design issues as much as was possible in the state of things. When the client asked me what I thought, I clearly told him that it would be better to have a complete redesign. 

We had plenty of discussions as we just did not want to give a new look but over all improve the website's experience and functionality as much as possible.  Luckily, the client was very receptive and had a lot of ideas of his own which he had organized well.

 

Heres a sneak preview of the thought process. (yeah its not all pretty pictures in the real world of web design)

Firstly, I created a wireframe to show the flow and organiztion of the new information architecture I proposed for the website. Once that was finalized after few iterations based on the feedback from the team and customers, we moved to visual design.

Since its based and originated from Sweden, the client wanted a very clean, minimalistic and scandinivian re-design of the website, which was currently not very modern looking.

 

I designed the main theme, color pallete, look and feel, navigation menus, banners, icons, buttons, form elements and typography for the complete portal. It was an extensive job and attention to detail was of primary importance.

Once the designs were finalized, we shared them with the developer and converted them into working html/css and wordpress. 

Then came the phase of testing where I tested each working page of the website against my original design, pointed out if anything was missing or wrongly done and ensured it was fixed to match the exact design. After this phase, the website was ready to go live and is now online.

I am still working on this project as its an on-going work and always trying to improve things or fixing any errors that may come across.

It was a truly amazing experience to transform a complete portal as per my own vision and design sense.
