This image is from one of my very first nature photography shoots back in 2011 in Boone, NC. I love photographing nature because it's not posed, staged, or predictable. Each shot is unexpected and makes the experience that much more exciting!
The following four images are from my recent trip to Costa Rica in March 2015. The landscape and wildlife there were absolutely stunning and everything was just too beautiful not to capture! I tend to do minimal editing on my photos because I believe the natural color and lighting from the images should stand for themselves.
Even this blue butterfly was caught off guard by the camouflage of the large Owl Butterfly.
This little guy decided he wanted a snack, came up to me, and took a piece of granola bar out of my hand.
Costa Rica is full of beautiful tropical birds, including this colorful hummingbird.
