2014 TEA Walk Event Design from concept to completion

Center for Pan Asian Community Services, Inc. (CPACS) is a private nonprofit located in Atlanta, Georgia whose mission is to promote self-sufficiency and equity for immigrants, refugees, and the underprivileged through comprehensive health and social services, capacity building, and advocacy.

Objectives//
Event design for CPACS TEA (Together Empowering Asian Americans) Walk Event.
The purpose of TEA Walk is to walk in unity to celebrate the diversity of metro Atlanta's community and to promote civic engagement. After a two-mile empowerment walk along Buford Highway in Atlanta, Georgia, CPACS hosts a dynamic community fair and stage show, complete with light refreshments, music, dance, sponsorship booths and speeches from local community leaders. All free of charge.
Following existing CPACS brand identity guidelines.

Approach//
I designed the TEA Walk event from concept to creation and synthesis and evaluation was produced from the TEA Walk committee. I created the name UNI-TEA to play on how important togetherness and the walk is to the community. I was the design lead in the TEA Walk Committee and was responsible for all visuals of the event, including but not limited to website, social media, t-shirt design, posters, banners, and marketing materials.

Solution//
In keeping with the fiscal year's annual report's color scheme, I chose to nominate purple as the t-shirt color and teal as the accent color. Also, each year the TEA Walk committee chooses a t-shirt color and purple has not been used before.
