This series of personal work is tentitively titled Sentimentality. Like in a previous body of work, Ghost, I used my grandfather's Kodak Vigilant Junior, the bellows of the camera are full of pinhole light leaks giving an upredictable pattern of light on the roll of film.

I really wanted to create a series that held meaning and importance, not only to me but to others looking at these images. I wanted there to be an almost somber or melancholy mood to the images. The subject I photographed was mostly nature, but also man made objects left to deteriorate where nature eventually consumes it.

This is a project I am still exploring and actively working on. A goal of mine is to create something that has meaning and a sense gravity to it. Sentimentality is an important aspect of our lives, to reflect, to remember, and to feel a connection.
