PIRATE ANNE BONNY'S JOURNAL

ROLE: Book Binding & Layout

This was a SCAD class project. The goal is to create any sort of book that looks a little different than the conventional bookstore books.

The idea of this journal is that readers curiosity would drive them to pick up the book and get taken inside the life of the notoriously known pirate (IRL) of the 1700s who for most of her pirate career was dressed as a man. I chose a female pirate as a character to break the stereotype that pirate are only male.

The journal is handcrafted with cow leather along with hand dyed paper to create that old time texture you'd find in old journals. The pages are handwritten to give it that real feel. You'll find some fun trinkets that enhances the whole experience for the readers with some tangible elements.

Overall it hopes that the reader will find her life exciting and mysterious.
