Original Pre-Release Theatrical Poster for Disney's 'Pirates of the Caribbean'. Prior to becoming the global blockbuster franchise that it is today, the initial teaser poster for the first film did not feature Johnny Depp or the additional cast members, but rather focused on an iconic scene from the ride at the Disneyland Theme Park on which the film was based. This version of the poster was never released to the public, but a similar one based on this initial design was eventually produced, and then quickly replaced with the now familiar version featuring the faces of the actors in the film.
