Asked to explore the theme of emotion, my concept developed with the concept of fear.  With a personal connection to the fear of spiders through various family members, I felt particularly strongly about this subject matter.  The worst nightmare of someone who suffers from arachnophobia is to have direct contact with a spider. This piece is the sum of all its parts.  All the pins are meant ot worn at the same time, to emulate the internal reaction of coming in contact with a spider.  The center material is meant to be mysterious and represent the inner turmoil and anxiety connected with this fear.
