A friend of mine is getting ready for his final year of law school at U of L's Brandeis School of Law. In our time at Indiana University together, he was always very involved around campus, holding a number of positions on the student board before graduating. So, I can't say I was surprised when he told me he was running for President of the Student Bar Association at the University of Louisville School of Law. But I was surprised (and a bit flattered) when he asked me to make some posters for him and his running mate to display prior to the election.

 

He wanted the posters to be consistent with the school's colors (black, yellow and red), and wanted them to include the three slogans him and his partner had come up with: "Let our experience work for you", "Brandeis First", and "A voice for growth, transparency, and wellness". He also asked that I combine their individual headshots in a way that looked natural and unified, conveying the idea of the great team they would make if elected together.

 

All in all, I was satisfied with the end results; because they were satisfied with what I'd come up with. The final posters, once printed and displayed around the school, gained a lot of attention. The team received a number of compliments, and their posters were very competitive against the work that their opponents had come up with. I'll have to make an edit after the election results come in, but I am confident in their efforts as they were confident in my own. Who knows...
