Stephen Prevost's profile

Practical Law the Journal

Editorial and creative design of Practical Law the Journal, a monthly print and digital companion to the online services of Practical Law, a Thomson Reuthers Know-How solution. As senior designer, I managed and supervised every step of the design process, from creating article templates, typesetting, providing creative direction of feature articles, and preparing files for print. Each issue required intense collaboration between editors and designers in order to translate the ideas conveyed by each article into a visually and conceptually compelling piece of journalism. To browse the magazine digitally, visit http://practicallaw.lookbookhq.com/t-b-oct18.

An eleven page feature article, requiring both editorial and creative design. Pull quotes and boxes were designed to match the theme of the article and give the entire piece a consistent but unique feel.
Flat Plan for a 104 page flip issue of the magazine. The purpose of the flat plan is to give a visual representation of the magazine; where articles and advertisements will fall and how the magazine will be ordered.
