Problem
Design a calendar inspired by an artist and his work.
Creative Solution
In order to develop a unique calendar, i chose the American Artist Leonid Afremov for his unique style of oil painting using a palette knife only. I originally reproduced 6 of his paintings as vectors and used the artwork for the calendar. Keeping his style in mind, i chose the idea of his strokes and incorporated it into my design by using one stroke for every month. In order to depict the canvas and all the seasons forming as colors, i chose to get a black box made out of acrylic from which the slides of 3 months each could easily be slided out.
