Planet F02-R12-U2008

Most artists using texture maps to create a planet. Well, all my attempts were in vain. So, I decided to create my scene complete without this.

I used the functional editor inside Vue to create the planet, clouds, citylights etc. Background stars are from Cornucopia 3D (Starfields Bundle; also done with the functional editor) with some modifications in color and size of the stars. I added some point lights for the bigger stars.

All images of the planet are done within the same scene. I just added a few cameras to render the planet from different angles.
