The message I was trying to convey was the natural look of the skin tones, and abstract look of the face, while also making it look very realistic. I was also making my picture look like I was in thought, while also having a bit of a smirk on my face when the picture was taken.

The image of the man in the bowler hat, and suit, with the green apple over his face. You can’t see what he is looking at or what his facial expression is. And I think this is something I also achieved, because my face is almost expressionless.

Magritte painted the self portrait of himself standing by the sea, with the apple over his face. The painting titled “The Son of Man”. The approach is similar because he uses the lack of expression on the body, and makes you wonder what is going through his head.
