Each year for Chinese New Year I illustrate the zodiac animal and use it as a promotional piece.  This year, 2015 is the Year of the Goat/Sheep/Ram which caused me to wonder how this became a menagerie, so I researched the reason for the fuzziness.  The problem comes from the Chinese work "yang" which translates to a "horned animal.  After sketching all three, I settled on the goat. 

In the final illustration the goat lost his long fur probably because I wanted to add some movement to the legs rather then just a standing pose.
