I designed and fabricated this Toy Box as a gift to be auctioned off at a charity event. The toy box consisted of American Black Walnut legs, rails & stiles with the panels, floor and lid consisting of Red Oak. I used a combination of dovetail and pinned mortised & tenon joints for long lasting strength. Specialized Torsion Hinges were used on the lid, because they allow the lid to remain open at any angle without crashing down.
