Quick initial sketch of my idea

The revised sketch. Using this, I started to model the rings in Rhino 3D. 

Preparing my ring to be sent to the 3d printer so I can cast the inner and outer shanks.

Fabricating the custom settings for the amethyst rough crystals, so they can be soldered to the casted piece.

A little laser welding to tack the settings on to the ring band so they dont move when I solder them.

Settings are soldered!

Seats are cut and the 34 stones are ready to be set.
