W.B. Yeats sought to create a voice for Irish literature, and his poetry, prose, and stage plays put Ireland on the map as a literary center. His work has stood the test of time, but I believe that some fresh designs for book covers would be helpful to continue to draw new readers in.

 

I chose three of his poetry and prose collections and set out to create simple, intriguing designs based on Celtic art and Irish manuscripts with a modern approach. I boiled down motifs and designs to their basic elements and chose a single color to work with on each cover (his work is available freely on the internet, so keeping production costs down would be a major selling point for these). This stylisation would also make for an easy continuation of the series.
