This work researched the importance of historic preservation through conservation and restoration of a building located in Maceio historical downtown.
It was chosen a brazilian construction model typical of the XIX century. The Sobrado was deteriorated over the years, including a fire in 2012. Currently the historical building is a shoes store’s storage.
The design proposal is to designate a new use to the building. The main idea is to adapt the old building to the new needs, in this case, as a support place for the store. The restoration plan has reception area, conference rooms, restrooms, and break room.
