Sketches initially made from the observation of peoples's behavior on the streets, parks and other public spaces of São Paulo. Then, from the study of how built form and body can interact, new ideas of sketches came up.
The next step was the study of new body movement and interactions from the arrangement of block units, that could vary in number, size and height. Physical models of people of similar dimensions and body parts were also developed to explore possibilities drawings could not show.
Physical model units were gathered to demonstrate possibilities of built form for public spaces
A conceptual proposal was envisioned on the slope between 23 de Maio Avenue and square Rodrigues de Abreu. The main goal was not necessarily create a appealing design for the slope. Block units in this site could be built in concrete, wood panels, earth blocks, or not be blocks at all, but alterations of shape in the terrain. Here, the proposal was to investigate the potential of unused land in the city (urban voids) as places that can increase public activity and offer more opportunities of outside life.
