I was introduced to a program called Corel Painter in my Advanced Digital Illustration class & had to create a piece using it. I decided to create a character based off of The Inspirer image that I created a few months before in the hopes of maybe making it a series of sorts, still incorporating an abundance of textures into this process that I was getting used to.
I still used Photoshop & Illustrator to clean up my linework & block in colors. For all of my textures, I took the file into Corel Painter & used the variety of brushes to build a visual library to give my character a sketched-out feel rather than something crisp & clean.
