‘Lore of the North’ is a self initiated project by Lord Whitney. This photographic project dives headfirst into the magical world of Folklore, specifically in Yorkshire –uncovering a part of the vast and complex world of stories, people and traditions.
After researching and seeking out experts and forgotten books, Lord Whitney have created a version of the world of folklore that comprises their visual aesthetic with subtly referenced myths and motifs, with the aim to capture fleeting moments from an infinite myth; where they find themselves acting as omniscient narrator in a snippet of a never-ending novel.
Set in fantasy, shot in reality, and utilizing the beautiful backdrop of the Yorkshire Dales, ‘Lore of the North’ is a publication with a twist…
