Publishing and Narrative- Pauline Baynes

My task with this particular project was to pick a story, message or topic related to my place of study- Farnham. Pauline Baynes, illustrator of the famoud 'Lord of the Rings', 'The Hobbit' and 'Narnia' illustrations grew up and attended school in Farnham. My aim is to create a visual representation of her life through graphic communication, independant research and analysis and my love of art through my own peronsal illustrations. My final outcome shows an insight in to Pauline's life through a Concertina Book, designed on Adobe Illustrator. 

This project demonstrates knowledge of a range of specific and specialist means of communication through narrative, and I have considered grid, layout and typography. I have developed a narrative to carry a singular message or theme, and designed a way to creatively capture my story so it clearly carries my point. My final piece and narrative  shows demonstration of independent research and analysis of target audiences, research styles of design that is effective in communicating to a specific audience, who are they and how can I design appropriately for them.It also shows demonstration of professionally orientated creative problem solving.
