Detroit Dirt "Save the Worms"

Client: Detroit Dirt
Purpose: To encourage people to compost.
Insight: No one knows why they should compost, or how to do it. So we gave them something to connect with, the entire worm population's well being.

SPONSOR A WORM
All around us, worms are living without homes. We can step in and make a difference in their community, and ours. Sponsoring a worm is as easy as throwing trash away, but in a different bin. When you decide to sponsor a worm, you receive a Worm Survival Kit, which includes a Worm Home (compost bin), a worm care poster, and a photo of the worm you’re sponsoring. One man’s trash is another man’s- or worm’s- treasure.

MEET HERB THE WORM
Herb is a dreamer. Born on the streets of Detroit, Herb always aspired to be "a somebody." He knew he had a purpose, but little did he know that he would clean up the world... by making it dirtier. Herb is asking for your help in his quest to give homes to worms in need. Having no arms has made this journey a bit more challenging for Herb, but he has a big heart and an extraordinary mind. Herb's favorite saying is "Size doesn't matter." When he's not helping save the worms, you can find Herb grazing on coffee grounds.

"It may be doubted whether there are many other animals which have played so important a part in the history of the world, as have these lowly organized creatures." -Charles Darwin 1881
