attention fellow magpies...
i remember how fascinated i was when i first saw an artist display metal prints. the glossy surface just grabs the eye and float mounts have always been a favorite of mine. i love how the natural shadows frame the pieces as the available light changes. i thought my bird illustrations would lend themselves to this printing process. i am actually incorrect in referring to it as a 'printing process' as the dyes are actually infused onto the metal. this makes for a very durable piece, and diminishes the worries of the illustration chipping or wearing off of the surface.
