Spotify Fairplay

Simple yet effective
Based around the emerging technology of Infrastruts, each pebble is 3D printed with an RFID embedded in the construction layers. This allows the pebble to be linked to the person's specific Fairplay playlist. Finally, it is laser etched with the owner's signature to ensure easy identification when it is time to go home.
Connected
Once the pebble has been placed onto one of the 24 recesses and a connection is confirmed, a dedicated LED will illuminate. Furthermore, once a song is played from that specific playlist, the LED will pulse, allowing everyone to know who has selected which song. If the same song is found on multiple playlists, multiple LEDs will pulse.
Democratic but controlled
In order to keep things simple, the device is controlled and managed via a smart phone app, that connects via Bluetooth. There are two options avaible; one for the owner of the device (and host of the party), and one for guests. As the owner, they are able to control the device such as volume, play/pause and even skip...if necessary. Everyone else has the option of seeing who's song is currently playing, as well as managing their own playlist, such as making suggestions for songs they highly recommend.
Not just for parties
When not being used in Fairplay mode, the device can also be used like a good old fashioned dukebox. Pebbles can be printed and associated to other playlists or even specific albums. These can then either be shuffled together, or individually selected, to play as they were originally intended.
