I started out with a rejected thumb from a tattoo comission.  I thought the idea was interesting, but wasn't fitting for the comission.
Per usual, I start with non-photo blue as it gives the cleanest scans for isolating lines.
This challenge requires using one color.  I rendered my work in order to get the most "bang for my buck" out of the one color. I used 2h-6B pencils.
I make edits and delete superfluous and unsuccessful details (clovers), add a fine starburst to match my line quality, and spend a while choosing my colors!
