MFA Design Work

This design project was sponsored by General Electric Appliances, a Fortune 10 company and world leader in household and industrial products. This sponsorship allowed for the exploration of products and systems that integrate sustainability strategies, promote positive and responsible behavior, and are sensitive to commercial and manufacturing constraints.
This design enables the user to feel an emotional connection by providing physical feedback that is normally absent. It follows a supernormal design philosophy that encourages increased sustainable behavior in both the user and the product itself. The three main areas of focus throughout the design process were sustainability, user experience and manufacturing. This meant that we had to take into account the entire life cycle of our product, from assembly to disassembly.
