Batik, a resist dye printing technique used indigo as its first dye for fabric and I decided to use this relationship for my collection. The thought of merging the techniques of Batik with the ones on a handloom and create something diffferent was rather fascinating. The complex drafting orders and denting was quite challenging to work with as we made our own patterns and experimented.
The indigo colour palatte has a really beautifull gradient which gave inspiration for mix and merge of colours to create numerous patterns.Blue being a very soothing colour calms the atmosphere of the space. Thus, the home decor products were woven which matched the wooden furniture.
