Water Kiosk
Partner Project, Fall 2009
The objective of this assignment was to design a kiosk to be placed in the Welch School of Art and Design lobby at GSU. Being a team effort, my partner and I chose to construct a water kiosk. Based on the current conditions of the “drinking fountains” in the school of art, we felt it was necessary to provide a place where students could rehydrate or fill up their water bottles with more pleasant, sanitary conditions. Bringing a concept and  unique design aesthetic to the project will hopefully draw people into the area and promote a healthier campus setting.
The design is based on a wave, with human ergonomic consideration.
he water-filled acrylic panel’s circulation combined with LED lighting results in a projected water-effect for both the user and the immediate surrounding area.
Designed with modularity in mind, the system can be connected to any desired length. Drinking fountains and a built in bench are meant to provide a re-hydrating oasis for the public to enjoy in almost any interior or exterior placement.
