A project were I combined an old object and a reclaimed material to create something that highlights their aged characteristics.

Compenents - Reclaimed teak wood, old radio speaker + electronic components and an aluminium sheet

I replaced the old plastic body with two wooden faces held together with a metal sheet along the sides, removed all unnecessary components and kept only what was essential - a volume knob, an auxiliary and a charging socket.
The seasoned grains of the teak complement the scratchy sound of the old speaker and in doing so create an unexpected harmony,
giving themselves a second life.
