Around 2010 i felt seriously ill. Although it was only a fever, its complications was terrible: strong and regular pains. I started to use painkillers of central action. Side effects of its use was impressive: loss of consciousness and partial loss of vision. This treatment made a strong impact on my imagination. A little later i found this beautiful track "Police" by alternative rock band "Chokebore" which reminded me my illness. I tried to convey this story in motion graphics.
Basic idea was simple: slowly and insensibly bacteria infects your body untill there's nothing left except this feeling of illness. Then you take magic pill (in my case it was a big dose of ketorol) and it flushes the pain away, but it also flushes all other feelings, leaving you incapable to act normal.
I started to animate "infection" scenes. The process was enjoyable but the resulting video was poor on action. I can't quite remember when came this idea with "love and death" labels. Anyway at first look I found it a little bit superficial, but after some time decided that it could do the trick. A trick of making this video a little less boring)
Finally this social storyline gave me much more ideas for animation than the basic "illness" idea. I've already finished to filling overall sequence with sub-scenes, but still was willing to invent more.
Final part was to add something really wierd. I added collapse from animated 2d graphics to some sort of space simulation alltogether with sound fx which was made by my long-time collaborator Yuriy Makeev: check his soundcloud https://soundcloud.com/dr_mckey
All credits for the music goes to Chokebore - a great rock band from the "golden" grunge era still rocking today. Check them out http://www.chokebore.net/
