Inspired by the famous Caltagirone Steps in Sicily
When the Gioia family immigrated to the United States from Sicily, they brought their love of winemaking with them. Generations later, their craft continues ... with Joya Wine Company.
This label re-design is a nod to the family's Sicilian roots. The embossed background pattern is based on the design found on one of the tiles that makes up the famous Caltagirone steps in Sicily. I kept the large "J" from their previous label, but added depth and elegance with the textured paper, embossing and subtle colors. The new design is more in line with the higher price and select vineyard designation.
With this new label design, they sold out of their inventory completely.
