The Art of Bookmaking
The Art of Bookmaking is an educational piece that showcases artist's books & their exploration of the book form. The piece consists of two sections: one that examines the form of the book by looking at book as sculpture, popups, folded structures and book binding techniques, while the other section features the work of a few book artists.
This is an experiential piece that aims to educate the viewer on the subject through their handling of the book form. Each "technique" spread has a structural component that reinforces the subject matter, while the structural design of the artist spreads are inspired by the form and concepts of their work.
