Irving Penn was a noted fashion photographer who was well known for his sophisticated images. His work communicated elegance, clarity, delicacy, professionalism and simplicity. He was well known for his fashion photography, still lives, and portraits which applied a “less is more” aesthetic. For this project I composed a book which incorporated & highlighted the photography of Penn with an edgy/sharp design to compliment his smooth images. I implemented a black & white color tone which signified a contemplative mood throughout the book. The content for the book was derived from myself from research about the subject.The typography stayed consistent with a San Serif typeface which could be easily decipherable towards the audience.
