The 27degree is an Intuitive AC cum Ceiling fan remote which focuses on improving user experience by understanding the display and control aspects of the product. While designing a remote control one needs to consider the the unique context of use, behavioral patterns and ergonomic constraints of the product.

USER RESEARCH
After shadowing people and observing how they use an AC remote, a problems were evident. Users have a psychological habit of pointing the remote at the AC, thereby not being able to see the screen. Some people find it confusing to operate an remote. The idea is to make the design intuitive and easy to use.

THE DESIGN
Due to the inclined screen in the 27degree remote, the user is able to see the changing display while pointing at the AC. The ergonomic form is a pleasure to hold. Also, the ceiling fan AutoOn mode enables the user set instructions such that it switches on as soon as the AC switches itself off (timer mode).
