For a class assignment, we were supposed to play with the brushes in Illustrator. I wasn't that familiar creating things in Illustrator until recently, since I'm far more fluent in Photoshop, so I went about reading tutorials and experimenting with the new tool.

 

The hair was all created with individual pencil strokes, with various different brush sizes and shapes. The colors were individually blocked in with pen tool shapes before blending them together with pencil strokes or with the blend shapes tool. The hair was the most fun part, since those were all pen strokes as well with varying widths and weights.
