As a student, one of my projects was to choose an iconic aspect of Buffalo and stress its significance to our area. I chose the Peace Bridge because what other city has access to another country like we do? The theme of my composition was influence by a 1977 postage stamp that was made to celebrate the 50th Anniversery of the Peace Bridge's existence. I wanted to achieve a historical, nostalgic conveyance. Which led me to create an 18"x24" poster-size stamp. I took the project even further by getting a physical sheet of stamps produced with my design on them.

 

Work began in January of 2014 and was completed in February of 2014.
